The Client
Established in 1996, Green Gold Ginseng grows and cultivates its own varieties of ginseng considered to be of green gold value. Green Gold’s ginseng is locally grown in the Marathon Country of Wisconsin and does not import or sell ginseng from overseas.
Challenges
Magento 2 was new territory for both the client and Cybertegic. The client wanted a wide list of functionalities built into their original Magento 1 platform to be built into the new website. They were very specific in the way each of these functions worked.
Adding to this challenge was that the third-party market for functionalities was still very young, without many options. Lastly, the cost was still a top priority for the client, which limits the expensive custom coding of very sophisticated functions.
The Solution
The careful vetting of existing extensions was called to replace the old functions the client used in their Magento 1 platform. Understanding the client’s reason and need for specific functions opened up the solutions we could provide, some of which were addressed by the new Magento 2 upgrade and others through other methods.
