Your website isn’t crawled by Google.

A way to find out if your website is listed is by using the following prefix in the Google Search box. Type site:nameofyourwebsite.com (without the https, www, and /), then click enter. If you can see your website showing in the search results, then that means your site is indexed. However, if it’s not showing at all, then your website hasn’t yet been indexed by Google. To fix this problem, all you need to do is add your website to Google Search Console then provide a sitemap of your website.

Your website isn’t mobile-friendly.

Google made it clear before that those websites that aren’t mobile-optimized will have lower rankings in search results. To know whether your website is mobile-friendly or responsive, all you need to do is visit Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test tool and then enter your website URL. After a quick analyzation, the tool will determine whether your website is responsive or not. If it’s the latter, then it’s time to contact your web designer and request to make the necessary changes to your site.

Your website has low-quality content.

Your website’s content can either make or break your reputation to Google. Content plays a significant role for a website to rank high in the search engine results. Some suggest that writing longer content is more effective, but remember that for Google, the quality of content matters more than the quantity. If the content is short but is full of details and information, then it’s better than a long article with gibberish content.
