Angry Birds Soon To Be On Facebook

There is yet to find the person who doesn’t enjoy sliding their finger back on the iPhone and letting go to sling shot a bird through the air at those evil green pigs. Angry Birds has become so popular that Rovio CEO Mikael Hed says that the game will be coming to Facebook next month. This new platform will provide “completely new aspects” to the game that have never been experienced. Hed has used the word “collaborative” to describe these new features and this seems to coincide with its new social platform. The only other detail into the new version of the game is that “the pigs will have a more prominent role.”

If you visit the Angry Birds page on Facebook, you’ll find that a buzz is starting about the insanely popular game making a big move. If you “like” the page, you’ll be updated on the most current news about Angry Birds coming to Facebook.

One of the most recently popular games on the most popular social network will no doubt exponentially grow in popularity. The game originally started on the iPhone, then was transferred to the Android, Palm, and Nokia. The game continued to grow in popularity and up popped several more versions of the game finding its way onto “PCs, PSP/PS3, Windows 7 Phone”, and even an animated series. Other gaming companies must crave for the attention of such a game that even has a 3D version undergoing development.

The question now is how will the game integrate itself socially so that the game isn’t just for the individual but for you and your friends? I speculate they may have levels you can create yourself and challenge your friends. Have any ideas? What will social media do next?
