Google Adds New Extension for Youtube Ads

Early this month, Google has added new extensions to improve user interactivity on Youtube. These new extensions are designed to make it easy for customers to take action and help businesses hit their goals.

The new extensions are built off the popular extension on Search, which gives Youtube viewers useful and actionable information about the business like store location, interest forms, and additional call-to-action. This information shows directly alongside your video ad.

Google also confirmed that call-to-action extensions, which are available for TrueView in-stream and non-skippable ads, will become available for 6-second bumper ads before this year ends. This means that even if your goal is to drive reach, awareness, or consideration, the new call-to-action extensions will make it easier for your viewers to take action. It also means that it increases the chance of Youtube viewers visiting your website or calling your phone number after seeing your ad.

Aside from that, action ads for TruView will also continue to expand its portfolio of call-to-action banners with new features that are designed to drive clicks and conversions for your campaigns.

The sitelink extensions are still in beta testing and are said to be available for TrueView action ads in the next few months.

When it comes to sitelinks, users can now add relevant links to product details and promotional pages under their videos.

Once these updates are launched, users can start adding new extensions from the extension tab in their Google Ads dashboard.
