Linkedin Now Allows Business Pages to Publish Newsletters

Linkedin announces that newsletters are now available for business pages. LinkedIn Newsletters can come into serialized long-form content to which your followers can subscribe. Marketing experts have used newsletters in email marketing for years, but LinkedIn introduces them on social media to modernize them.

According to the company, the rollout of the Newsletter update on business pages is an extension of its Articles for Pages. This was a feature added last year which allows businesses to create and publish long-form content on their Linkedin Business pages.

While Articles for Pages aims to provide better engagement with followers, which can lead to conversations, Newsletters extend its idea. Businesses can use Newsletters by offering subscriptions to any recurring articles with similar subjects or topics that their followers can subscribe to.

How to Create Newsletter in Linkedin Business Pages

To create a Newsletter for Business Pages, follow these steps:

  1. Start by writing an article and select “Create a Newsletter.”
  2. Once you publish your newsletter, it will post to your Linkedin Page feed and notify your followers.
  3. Once published, you can track and review its performance. You can view the analytics of each newsletter you send out. This way, you can quickly assess the number of your subscribers.

When your follower reads articles published on your page and wants to be kept up to date with similar content, they can easily subscribe to the article as a newsletter.

Every time you create new articles within serialized subjects, your subscribers can receive an automatic one-time notification. Followers can then opt-in to receive email and in-platform notifications every time you publish new content.

Linkedin Newsletter Case Study for Zoom

While people may only see a newsletter as a form of content they can use in email marketing, Linkedin has already seen success with its early adopters. News publisher, Insider, and video meeting company, Zoom, have already applied Newsletter in their Linkedin accounts.

After using Newsletter, Zoom saw 10% of its followers subscribe to their Linkedin newsletter within the first 24 hours. On the other hand, Insider was part of a pilot program for this new feature. After using it, within 24 hours, they have gained 820,000 subscribers.
