SEO Tips: Back Up Quick and Easy

In SEO, there are many important things to keep in mind before, during, and after doing search engine optimization. One of them is backing up files.

I believe that backing up is a critical stage in doing SEO for the simple truth that you can’t do it in the after part of the process. Once changes are done, Man who failed to back up.original files are gone – not unless you’ve backed up. So backing up files must be kept in mind especially when a client’s business is on the balance. You might say it’s okay if you own the website you’re working on because you know what goes in and where. But are you really going to risk wasting time on redoing stuff? I don’t believe you do. Forgetting to back up is like not washing your hands before eating. You don’t realize your mistake then a problem arises when you can no longer reverse what you’ve done.

The main reason for not backing up is haste, haste in wanting to have the fun of doing SEO programming right away. So I share with you today some ways to make sure you pick-up the good habit of backing up your files while effectively using your time.

  1. Back up at first sight. While you’re spending the time of reviewing a client’s website for the first time, just right-click, view source and save every page you load. Quick and easy.
  2. Do all the backing up first before the time you’ve set for yourself to have fun optimizing. That way you can get it over with and concentrate on the SEO more confidently afterwards.
  3. Back up as you go. Each time before you’re going to overwrite or replace or paste anything, copy first the original codes and put it in notepad. However, you’ll constantly be shifting your focus instead of doing purely SEO tasks.

All three tips above work great in saving time while backing up files. I’ve arranged them starting from the most efficient use of time. It’s up to you to decide which one works for you best. The important thing is to always back up.
