Social Media Spotlight: Finding Success in Facebook Ads (Part II)

Previously, we discussed how Facebook Ads are beneficial, especially for small businesses. This is primarily because Facebook Ads allows its users to control the daily budget for internet marketing and the ability to choose between CPC and CPM. Facebook Ads is also perfect for small businesses because it has more than 750 million users worldwide, 225 million of which are in the US alone, giving both local and big businesses greater online visibility.

The first two tips on becoming successful in setting up Facebook Ads involve setting goals accordingly and being creative when targeting a specific audience. Here are the last three tips that can help you succeed with Facebook Ads, as given by Leyl Master Black of Mashable:

3. In content copy writing, Facebook suggests a brief but clear target ad that engages the reader directly. This means focusing on the brand awareness or highlighting offers or features that make your small business stand out against the competition. While Facebook Ads have a 135-character limit, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the ads should use all 135 characters allowed. A simple question or a bold statement is sometimes enough to pique the interest of your specified audience. A call-to-action encouraging the reader to do something after reading your ad is very important, and creative photos are also necessary to catch the reader’s eye.

4. Using multiple ads is sometimes necessary to know which ones are the most effective. Small Business Mavericks Founder Caroline Melberg suggests running four different Facebook Ads for the same campaign to find out which one performs best. The words or graphics displayed on a Facebook Ad can have a large impact on click-through rate which is why it’s important to have multiple versions of an ad.

 5. Capitalize on the traffic. While putting all your energy in setting up successful Facebook Ads, don’t forget that your blog or Facebook page should also have fresh content. Because of the traffic generated by your Facebook Ads, small businesses should be ready to have fresh status updates or special offers to follow up on advertisements.

In social media marketing, it is important to engage your fans and followers so that they will not only participate in campaigns you offer, but also build a deeper relationship with your small business as well. With social media, small businesses should not only invest in internet marketing strategies such as Facebook Ads, but build relationships too.
