Yes and No. Yes, Twitter is cooking up something like and no, it’s not your usual mac and cheese, it’s about the popular tweet feature. Since its creation by Jack Dorsey, Twitter has gained notability and popularity worldwide and is sometimes called “SMS of the internet”. On the other hand, Twitter is at least 10 years behind when it comes to search technology.
Drum roll please… the Twitter API announcements Google group announced that their search team is working on a beta project that will rank tweets according to popularity. To date, it’s unclear when this project will be implemented so Twitter still shows search results in reverse chronological order or “the most recent”.
