According to a new report released by comScore, Facebook is the leading social media network in all but eight countries. The leading source of internet marketing intelligence, comScore, measured the Internet activity of 41 countries over all. Facebook reaches about 43.9 percent of Internet users around the world, says comScore. The social media juggernaut is popular in the United States and Europe, and increasingly gains popularity across the globe. Facebook users are enamored with the social media network’s capacity for sharing, and sharing everything. Not only does Facebook have an enviably large audience, but it also has a highly engaged audience. Users have the ability to connect with almost everyone, post pictures and video, interact with games, and practically live their lives through the social network. For now, Facebook is only the second place network in countries such as India and the Netherlands. As new social networks arise, will Facebook’s popularity plateau? Or, is it only a matter of time before Facebook takes over the world?
