Getting into Facebook does not guarantee that your marketing campaign will bring you improved sales and lead generation. Getting into Facebook does not guarantee anything. It is merely a crucial first step into penetrating online marketing.
If you and your social media agency are serious about making Facebook a critical part of your marketing campaign, then take a page from these expert tips courtesy of the folks at the Social Media Examiner.
1. Find out how the others are doing it. Ask your social media agencyto do research on how your competitors are managing their Facebook ads. Go to Facebook’s Adboard. If you click on it, then there must be something to it. Make notes on what you think they are doing right and include those that need to be improved so you can avoid it yourself.
2. Take advantage of the photo. At the end of the day, it’s all about the most attention-grabbing photo. So have a good creative discussion with your social media agency or your Internet marketing expert and decide on a photo that has a strong call to action or a really attractive catch. Tip: The words “save” and “free” have been proven to catch attention.
3. Split test your advertising efforts. Split test the variables between your ads. Why? So you know the cheapest clicks and so your social media agency can track which ones are performing well. When split testing, consider the body and photo of your ad, the headline and the bidding model. (This is a little bit of PPC so you may want to call your PPC management expert as well for more help on this.) Note: Change one variable at a time to avoid confusion.
4. Observe results. Consider cost against goals. How much are you spending to achieve your objectives? Always manage expectations. Once you have leads, always ask your social media agency to follow through with e-mail and of course, more social media.
