If you have more than one Twitter account for your business, you might want to call your internet marketing service provider about these free Twitter browser extensions which can help you better manage your social media campaign on Twitter.
Dashboard apps are a great way to help you and your Internet marketing services team to keep track of your various social networks and update multiple accounts.
Here are two from Social Media Examiner’s list.
1. Silver Bird. Silver Bird offers a lot of Twitter features in just one pop-up box. It uses neat tabs to organize separate views of your timeline, mentions, direct messages, favorites and even lists. There is also a search box for quick hash tag or keyword searches. For more flexibility and control, you can use the “Unified” tab which is a c
ollection of tweets that you chose for a particular reason. Another nice thing about Silver Bird is that the icon changes color when there is a new tweet so it’s not obtrusive. The best part: you can choose the color the bird will change to depending on the kind of tweet. The compose box is not visible until you open it so you have a better view of your timeline. Other special features include a “mark all as read” option, a preview of image links and follow/unfollow options. If you like on-page pop-up notifications, you can also do that on Silver Bird. Your Internet marketing service provider will surely find this tool very handy for managing your multiple Twitter accounts.
2. Tweetings. You will find that Tweetings has a similar layout to Silver Bird. But that’s not the only thing they have in common. You see, Tweetings is based on the same open-source Twitter extension as Silver Bird (Chromed Bird, which is no longer available). Here, the compose box is at the bottom so you or your Internet marketing services provider can create an update in just one click. The basic timeline view is easy to navigate. For example, unread tweets are in bold so you can easily catch up on it. There’s also a “mark all as read” option. Tweetings also has lists, searches and trends so keeping up with tweets on any topic is possible. Special features include ability to view other users’ timelines, auto-completion of usernames, and Windows, Mac, iPad and iPhone versions of its app.
Both Tweetings and Silver Bird are available on the Chrome web store. And they’re both free so make sure to have your Internet marketing services provider get one for you.
