The second part of our three-part series about PPC marketing social media is on Instagram. Now that you have your PPC ads ready for Facebook, you’re positioned to also make use of Instagram for your paid ads. As a digital marketing company in Los Angeles, Cybertegic can help you create more effective ads for Instagram.
Among social media channels, Instagram has a strong following from Millennials which can allow you target your ads for those in the younger generations. If you’re already running Facebook ads and if you’re looking to improve customer engagement with your brand, Instagram ads are the way to do it. Here’s how:
Use Your Facebook Account and Ads Manager
If you’re already running ads on Facebook, then displaying ads for Instagram becomes much simpler because you can create these ads the same way. Using Facebook’s Ads Manager, select Instagram in the Ad Preview section. You can create your Instagram ads using Ad Creation and Power Editor.
Using the Ads Manager, choose your object, create the audience details, select Instagram for the ad placement options, then set your budget and schedule.
In creating your ads, you can opt to use a single image, carousel, or video ads. For the page and links, use your Instagram account’s link. Build your ad details which include the headline, text, and images.
Ad Practices That Will Help You
Instagram follows the same guidelines as Facebook. We’ve mentioned these guidelines in the first part of this series. Instagram ads that appear in the feeds of users can be identified with a sponsored label underneath the profile name of the account.
If you’re going to use single image ads, they’re shown in square, vertical, or landscape formats. Video ads will come in landscape or square formats. Lastly, carousel ads are shown in a square format and users can use your arrows to scroll on the other images in the carousel.
Since Instagram makes use of images, make sure you’re going to use the right ones! This is crucial for the success of your ad campaign. To ensure you’re using photos that are suited for Instagram ads, make sure that they have high brightness, natural lighting, sufficient background space, colder colors like blue, and single dominant color.

As with all ad campaigns that you do, review the results. With the PowerEditor, you can check the effectiveness of your ads. Make the necessary adjustments according to the results.
These are the guidelines that can help you with your PPC efforts on Instagram. We’ll be discussing how you can create more effective ads on Twitter next time.
