Google Ads Performance Planner is getting four new updates to improve your campaign’s performance further. The Performance Planner is a feature in Google Ads developed to simplify users’ creating strategies for their campaigns. It provides insights and data into how specific changes can affect the campaign’s overall vital metrics and performance.
Users can turn to Performance Planner to estimate clicks, conversions, and conversion values. This can be done for different campaign types, including Search, Shopping, Local, Display, and App. And with the upcoming updates rolling, users can even do more using this feature.
Here are the four new updates for Google Ads Performance Planner:
- Add previous ineligible campaigns.
- Understand recommendations and Suggested changes.
- Add secondary metrics.
- Choose a specific time range.
1 – Add previous eligible campaigns.
Users can now add previously ineligible campaigns. They can do this by using their past performance. They will also add manual forecasts to the plan across the entire account.
2 – Understand recommendations and Suggested changes.
You can now better understand the recommendations on Performance Planner. This is done by checking the new “Suggested changes” column. The column will display the suggested budget and bid recommendations for any specific campaign.
3 – Add secondary metrics.
Add secondary metrics to the performance plan. This will help you better understand the impact any secondary metrics can have on the performance of your campaign. For example, suppose the user creates a plan to maximize the conversions. In that case, he can add another column that will show any changes to the clicks.
4 – Choose a specific time range.
You can now choose a specific time range you want to use for your historical conversion rate. This means that users can now use a historical conversion rate closer to what they expect for the date range in their plan.
