LinkedIn has added two new features: live video and newsletter. These new additions will be a part of LinkedIn’s creator mode.
The update will launch gradually throughout this month to users who don’t have access to the live video and newsletters. After the user has enabled its creator mode in their profile, they will only have to wait for the features to activate.
LinkedIn Creator Mode
Creator mode is a free upgrade that LinkedIn users can do to their user profiles for content creation. Any user can enable the creator mode if they like.
Here are some features that the creator mode has:
- The Follow button will replace the Connect button.
- The user profile will display a number of followers instead of connections.
- The users show topics in their profile introduction will appear as hashtags.
- The original content will be highlighted. The Featured and Activity sections will appear on top of the profile.
- The Activity section will no longer show the likes, comments, and other activities.
To turn on the creator mode and access the new LinkedIn’s live video and newsletter features, the user should meet the following criteria:
- The profile should have more than 150 connections.
- Users should have recent shares of any original content.
- The profile should be in good standing and abide by LinkedIn’s Professional Community Policies.
How to Enable Creator Mode On
If you meet the criteria listed above, you can turn on the creator mode for your LinkedIn profile by following these steps:
- Step 1 – Click the Me icon located at the top of the LinkedIn homepage, click View Profile.
- Step 2 – Under the Your Dashboard, click on the Creator mode to turn it on.
- Step 3 – Then click Next on the preview pop-up window. Add any hashtags to indicate the topics you want to post about. Then click Save.
- Step 4 – Follow any prompts to enable the creator mode.
