Prior to the latest updates in Google Panda, TheWeatherSpace.com reported achieving high rankings on Google and Google News. With the recent 2.5 algorithm changes, this number has dropped to 20 and below. This is what TWS has recently reported in its website. The latest updates, which caused its monthly revenue and traffic to drop to about 80%, resulted to TWS resorting to drastic changes to keep its site active. The upcoming changes, which are white hat in nature, include producing more articles per day which will also be posted on Facebook, to make the most of the revenues they make.
While big companies are not as affected, TWS believes that Google is biased towards bigger corporations such as CNN, Fox, BBC, etc. while smaller-scale publications are struggling with the recent updates. Additionally, TWS airs its disappointment towards Google News as less-credible websites continue to make its mark on Google.
Because of this, TWS will rely on Facebook and its 6,000+ fans to spread the word about the website without asking for Google’s help. This attack on Google News may seem unimportant to online businesses but it showed the after effects of the recent changes brought about by Google Panda. This latest disappointment on Google Panda’s latest algorithm changes is just one of the many complaints small and middle-sized companies are currently experiencing. There are even companies who had to lay off a few of their staff members as a result of Google Panda.
More and more websites, despite being reliable and credible enough, continue to suffer as there are no standards set by the biggest search engine in the Internet world today. Additionally, this highlights the need to continuously monitor the releases from Google Panda so as websites can play around with the different tweaks that could be done to increase rankings on Google, without resorting to black hat SEO practices.
