Chinese search engine, Baidu, is said to be a “sleeping giant that awakened” recently.
China’s population is more than four times the size of the US. Internet users in China comprise 11% of their population. It makes a lot of sense to submit your website to this giant. To be able to do that, you will need to do some adjustments and be ready with a landing page that is presented in full Chinese language. It’s good SEO to get your website to Baidu’s search results. When you’re ready, here’s how to submit your website’s url to Baidu:
1. Go to https://translate.google.com/
2. Type https://www.baidu.com into the text box provided. Select Chinese from the dropdown menu (the one on the left). Then click the “Translate” button.
3. Next, enter https://www.baidu.com/search/url_submit.html into Google Translate text box that is now on your upper left hand and click the “Translate” button.
4. Enter your website’s url into the text box and also don’t forget to enter the verification code that is shown below it.
5. Click and you’re done!
