What if you found out that the keyboard that you use to type, either from your mobile device or your tablet PC or even just your home keyboard, was obsolete? In other words, what if someone were able to make a better keyboard, making it easier to browse social media, talk to friends, and get work done? That’s exactly what Siine, a new tool in text-based communication, claims they have accomplished. Still in it’s early stages, Siine learns how you talk and is then able to speak for you. Siine has a number of competitors including Swype, an app that replaces your keyboard with a new style of keyboard that you can use by dragging your finger across to type, and SwiftKey, an app that help auto-complete text you are in the process of typing. But Siine claims to do things differently than these competitors.
Although Siine is new and hasn’t revealed a whole lot of specifics, they have given some information on what exactly it is and how it works. First and foremost, Siine makes it clear that the app will eventually be available to use on any device, whether it’s your Android you’re texting from, your iPad you’re taking notes on, or even just browsing social media from your home computer. Siine will do more than just finish words that you are typing. Using semantic intelligence, Siine takes into account how you speak, acronyms you use, and even different languages you use in order to suggest what you will most likely say, saving you tons of time doing everyday activities that require typing.
If you use social media like Facebook and Twitter, keep an eye on Siine and see if it really is as they claim, a better, more efficient way to type. And, if you are a practitioner of social media marketing, keep in mind that social media users on sites like Facebook and Twitter are using new technologies like Siine and others on a regular basis, so it pays to stay informed and modify your efforts to user’s needs.
