The social media star, Twitter, will be launching real-time analytics in the last quarter of 2010. What’s more, the social information network will be releasing the beta version of the dashboard for free. Will it be free for everyone? That is yet to be determined. So far, it’s only known that the product will be available to select beta testers. According to Ross Hoffman, a member of Twitter’s development team, Twitter’s real-time analytics is will show which tweets are spreading and who is influential in your network. Instead of waiting to analyze information, marketers will be able to make quick adjustments to social media tactics on the fly based on Twitter’s real-time solution. A free Twitter analytic solution would be social media marketing gold. It’s not clear if, or even when, Twitter will monetize the analytic tool, but it is certainly about time the company developed one.
