Not only is Google trying to provide the best service as a search engine, the Google team is going a step further to provide as much information as possible with their new blended search ad format. Their new search ad format consists of providing richer types of information within the ads with videos, images, and maps. While Google is still trying to preserve their method of advertising with relevant and useful ads, they realize that “text is often useful, but sometimes videos and pictures are a more effective way to receive information.”
Within the U.S., Google has slowly integrated and tested it out these new formats while searching on Google. As I mentioned, some ads include videos integrated within the ad space such as a trailer for a particular movie you searched for.

You can expect additional links within search advertisements. For example, an Expedia or Priceline ad would not only contain their website links, but also include additional links to either their section for hotels, flights, or rental cars. This method can save the user time and go directly to the page that interests them, instead of being directed to their home page first to get to their final destination.
Google has also further developed on their search map by providing addresses, locations, and directions for anything you are searching, even if you’re out of the country.

As of today, they are trying to implement ads that will include images and prices for specific products, much like a shopping comparison site. This integration of images and pricing allows the user to determine if the vendor has the item they want. And just in time for the holiday season, no less.

Another method of presenting information that Google has elaborated on are their Comparison Ads. They have further developed their Comparison Ads by allowing the user to specify their search and be able to compare rates/prices within a specific region.
Although there these ad formats still in the experimental phase, Google will continue to remain loyal to their core values. Google is still in the process of developing more ad formats to find the most helpful and appropriate, or in other words, perfect, ad to improve the users overall search experience.
