How has it been working for you?
Good? So-so?
If your YouTube channel is not working wonders for you, then it’s time to look at these tips from the folks at Social Media Examiner.
Make sure your social media agency reads this so they can brush up on their YouTube basics!
1 1. Ask for subscribers. Subscribers don’t grow on trees. So ask your viewers to subscribe. And how do you or your social media agency do that? Have a compelling call to action. Your call to action should be clear enough so that your viewers know what to do, how to do it and why they should do it.
2. Don’t forget to add annotations. Annotations have a tendency to get overused but these little notes, when used strategically, can be a boon for you and your Internet marketing servicespartner. You can ask your social media agency to use this to reinforce your call to action for subscribers or you can use this as a click-to-action annotation which automatically links to your channel subscribe page.
3. Choose strategic channel partners. Social media is all about being part of a community. So apply that principle to your YouTube account. Add “partner channels” on the Featured Channels section. Ask around and don’t forget to return the favor for those who agree to be your partner.
4 4. Be an active communicator. Despite being video-driven, you and your social media agency should make it a point to interact with your subscribers. Don’t stop at making them part of your community. Engage them as you would followers and fans on Facebook or Twitter. Comment, like, recommend and recognize your subscribers. Give back the love. It’s the best way to earn more of it.
