It is important for you and your social media agency to be highly skilled at engaging your social media audience in conversations about hot topics. But by hot, we don’t mean that you have to tread into sensitive grounds like religion, race or politics. Focus on cultural or entertainment topics. The Nielsen study also revealed that the people are multi-tasking with their mobile devices even while watching a TV program. People want to be engaged so stay relevant. Quick tip: you can focus on a niche topic so people will know you as the go-to source for a particular cultural or entertainment topic.
3. Focus on Facebook. The comScore study further cements Facebook’s status as the biggest social media platform today. It found that the Palo Alto, Californina-based social site is the “premier player among all web properties in terms of time spent” which for you and your social media agency simply means engagement. Second, it also found that online netizens spent the most time on Facebook compared to other social media sites combined. Other social media stars are also rising but make no mistake about it, Facebook is still shining brighter than the rest.
