For me, the most fun thing about doing SEO is writing sales copy.
A sales copy is what you call the main lines of text that you display on any of your website’s pages where you start to tell your visitors what your website is all about. This should be the first important thing that you should be concerned of upon deciding that you are going to build your very first website.
Needless to say, you are aware that once you publish anything online or offline, you want to be noticed. Whether you are selling stuff or just wanting to have fun experiencing what it is like to be on the Internet, you must already know that people will eventually find your work whether you like it or not. So the best thing to do really is to have some quality in whatever you say and do right from the very start. You have heard the phrase “first impressions last“, haven’t you?
One rule of thumb is to always be yourself and not pretend to be somebody else. Don’t talk about topics that you are not sure about. Do your research first and then you can write about it. That is why anyone who wants to go into business online is encouraged to find his or her niche first. A niche is something that is already built-in within yourself that is unique. Something you’d love doing and sharing in the most natural way. If you are able to find it, then you are on your way to your writing success.
Now, after you’ve finished writing the whole thing which you plan to put on your web page, check to see if your main keyword is repeated within the first one hundred words (excluding stop words) of your sales copy by five to six times. If not, either insert sentences that will contain your keyword, or move those keyword containing sentences from the bottom towards the top and into the 100 word count.
I hope to see you on page one of the search engine results pages soon!
