Twitter just announced its newest application on Facebook and LinkedIn, combining the two staple social media networks with the microblogging website. Twitter is bringing its followers to friends on Facebook and connections on LinkedIn.
The new Twitter application allows you to combine your tweets with the two largest social media networks. Instead of using intermediaries such as Tweetdeck or reposting, the Twitter application is an-all-in-one update. Furthermore, the app allows you to integrate both your Twitter followers and your Facebook friends, thus allowing you to choose friends to add from Facebook that are also Twitter users.
Microblogging continues to spread across all means of social media. People who are already using Facebook can use the new application to connect their Twitter pages and add to their followers on Twitter. However, Twitter has to expand accordingly or the “Twitter is over capacity” page will surely appear frequently.
Last month, LinkedIn unveiled its Twitter application, allowing the LinkedIn connections that are being followed be visible and automatically follow the ones that you don’t already follow.
