Twitter has released four new updates, including new ways for users to react to tweets, create tweets, and more. Many of these features are still in their testing stage. But the social media channel confirmed that it will slowly roll out to more users as days pass.
Here are the four new features you can find on Twitter:
1 – Tweet Reaction Videos
Users can now tweet reaction videos on iOS. It is called Tweet Takes and acts as an alternative to quote tweeting. According to Twitter Support, users can choose “Quote Tweet with the reaction” to create and customize their own Tweet Take.
Tweet Reaction Videos is similar to TikTok’s video reply, which functions the same way. Instagram also released the same feature last month. Instagram now allows its users to reply to comments on posts through Reels.
2 – Tweet Composer Bar
Twitter has released a new composer bar to make it easier for users to start a Tweet. The new Tweet Composer bar is located above the bottom navigation menu. It has replaced the big, blue button with the plus-sign used before composing tweets.
According to Twitter User Researcher Cody Elam, this new update was developed based on the feedback from new users. Many new users seem to have reported they are having a hard time composing a Tweet. Elam says it will roll out more widely if the new composer bar gets more people tweeting.
3 – Topics Tag Bar
Twitter now has a Topics Tag Bar, which will allow users to jump directly to topics that they find interesting. This new feature will show a series of topics just under the navigation bar. They will depend on the tweets you usually interact with when spending time on Twitter.
4 – Share Communities
Some iOS users are now introduced into Twitter’s Share Communities. This is an effort for Twitter users to get more people to join different communities found on the channel.
Users can navigate to the community page in their Twitter App. You can share the community with a wider audience or invite individuals directly.
