Two of our previous posts discussed several strategies that could help the best SEO company earn high traffic for their blogs. These tactics, as shared by SEOmoz CEO and Co-founder Rand Fishkin, include having a targeted audience, community participation, a search engine optimization friendly blog, social media agency, Google Analytics, graphics, keyword research, and guest blogging just to name a few.
Today, we continue our four-part series on techniques and ideas that a search engine optimization specialist should do in order to increase blog traffic. We move on to Fishkin’s 11-15 ways:
11. While it is very important to have a blog that is search engine optimization friendly, a blog should also be aesthetically-pleasing. Visitors won’t come to your blog if the layout and design looks tacky, even if the content is excellently written and well-researched. A beautiful, powerful, and professionally-designed blog can easily increase blog traffic and visitors will trust the website more, resulting to higher time-on pages and shares.
12. Remember what we said about participating in communities, forums, and blogs? There are tools that could help you find what websites are good to participate in, which you can use to do some comment marketing. Of course, there are rules to be followed if you do not want to get banned, or worse, ruin your reputation.
13. If you haven’t realized the value of Q+A sites, now is the time to do so. Services such as Yahoo! Answers, Answers.com, Formspring, and Quora are just a few of the sites that cater to people’s inquiries on a variety of topics. Fishkin suggests offering answers on questions that have less than impressive responses and high visibility. If you plan on including links, make sure that they provide relevant value.

14. Make your posts easier to access by enabling subscriptions via feed and email. Doing so assures your readers that they will always receive your most recent posts. Of course, you should track these statistics to determine how well your blog is doing.
15. You may be doing majority of your business over the web but it doesn’t mean that you can’t do it in the real world AND still make money. Bloggers can influence more if they start attending gatherings, events, and meetings to connect with fellow bloggers and potential clients. A single attendance can result in guest posts, links, tweets, blogrolls, and a bigger network, just to name a few.
Our four-part series is finally drawing to a close so don’t forget to come visit next week as we finish our series on how the best SEO company can gain higher blog traffic from ideas given by Rand Fishkin of SEOmoz.
