We all know that PPC management is a long-term process. Success is not achieved overnight. You need to sit down with your PPC management team and come up with monthly plans, reports and strategies. But with a few PPC performance jolting tips, like these ones from PPC Hero, you can make small but steady PPC management strides.
Increasing CTR
1. Arrange your ads, placing the one with the highest CTR on top. Now, copy that ad to your three highest traffic ad groups. Add the keywords in your add to boost relevance.
2. Set the ads to “Optimize for Clicks” and do not forget to add site link extension to the top three impression campaigns.
3. Run an SQR for the past 90 days (make sure not to download it), scan the top impression keywords, determine the trend in the less relevant queries and then add the infringing keyword as a campaign level negative.
Boosting PPC Conversion Rate
1. Determine which keywords are not working for you. Cut bait with these underperformers.
2. Next, double the size of your “Buy Now” or “Download” call to action buttons.
3. Test a new description line 2 in the finest version of your current ads in your top converting campaign.
More PPC Spend
1. Increasing the daily budget seems too simple. And it is. The tip here is to not just do it when the “Limited by Budget” prompt appears. Increase the budget 5x your normal CPC so you have the headroom to spend unrestricted.
2. Now comes the tricky part. Increase all your bids on the keywords that perform within your goal. Download statistics from the past 90 days, sort by CPL, highlight the keywords that are underperforming, click advanced bid changes and then check the “Raise keyword maximum CPC bids to their top of page bid estimates” box.
3. Set up a display network ICM campaign because these have huge spend potential. If you already have text ads and/or image ads to use, this should be easy to set up.
See? PPC management can be quick and effective, but only if you are guided by an expert. So make sure to keep reading this blog for more tips!
